The artwork makes it look like Batman the Animated Series but don't let that put you off - this is a comic book that is aims for big things. Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim are police officers who work on the Powers unit - the detectives sent in when a superhero winds up dead. Full of cool effects with colour, snappy dialogue and amazing twists this is a comic that builds on comics past to show the way forward to what comics can do. It's entertaining, funny, exciting and shocking and keeps behaving in ways that you wouldn't expect... Plus: check at the interviews at the back of some of volumes they're very good: frank, refreshing, lively and very insightful about what makes a good comic work.
